Laparoscopic surgery

One of the newest and most evolving industries in the field of surgical surgery is laparoscopic surgery.

Laparoscopic surgery is an innovative surgical device that uses advanced video and imaging technology to perform surgical operations without the need for separation, opening or cutting of healthy tissue.

Pediatric surgery is the treatment of all the conditions required for surgical intervention in children from the first hours of life until the age of 18 years.

What is laparoscopic surgery?

Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive surgery performed on various organs in the abdominal cavity. While in traditional surgical procedures it is necessary to perform cutting and separation of healthy tissue in the operated abdomen, in order to reach the patient organ, laparoscopic surgery allows easy access to that organ, without having to damage healthy tissue. Laparoscopic surgery is performed by inserting a laparoscope into the body, with the laparoscope being a very tiny camera that captures the organ and displays the information directly on a screen. Using tiny and small incisions and advanced and dedicated medical equipment, the organ can be treated without the need to open the tissues. The laparoscope allows the surgeon to see the bedding on a screen, by means of magnification and good lighting.

The benefits of laparoscopic surgery

Laparoscopic surgery offers great benefits to the patients, and therefore it is a technological industry that is developing rapidly and is frequently used in hospitals.

There is no need to open the abdominal cavity, so the body’s exposure to viruses or viral diseases during surgery decreases significantly.

As a senior physician, pediatric surgeon I make sure that any painful operation is performed only under appropriate anesthesia and most surgeries are performed by laparoscopic (minimally invasive) method and for the most part, by access through the navel which leaves no visible scar at all.
